Smove Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
Simple Machine, LLC (“Simple Machine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) makes Smove. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you play Smove or contact us.
You can play Smove without creating an account.
Information stored on your device
Smove stores game progress, high scores, preferences, age-range selections and privacy choices on your device.
To preserve existing progress, an update may read older Smove save files within the app’s storage. This migration does not upload those files to us.
Deleting the app’s data may remove your progress and preferences. Your device’s backup settings may affect whether copies remain.
Optional analytics and crash reporting
Smove includes optional gameplay analytics and crash reporting. These services start disabled and operate only when enabled for your version and permitted by your privacy choices.
If you enable analytics, Google Analytics for Firebase may process:
Generated installation and session identifiers.
App version, operating system and device information.
Approximate region.
Gameplay activity, including sessions, scores, stages, play time and revive interactions.
Advertising outcomes and performance information when advertising is available.
We use this information to understand gameplay, improve balance and evaluate features. We do not attach your support email, name or full birth date to gameplay events.
If you enable crash reporting, Firebase Crashlytics may process crash logs, technical diagnostics, installation identifiers and device information to help us investigate failures.
Firebase Remote Config may deliver configuration settings and test variants. When started under the app’s privacy controls, it may process installation and connection information even if gameplay analytics is disabled. Remote settings cannot override your privacy choices.
See Firebase’s privacy information.
Advertising and privacy choices
When enabled and available, Smove may offer an optional video advertisement in exchange for a revive. The current integration supports rewarded advertising through Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads.
Advertising providers may process device and advertising identifiers, approximate location, app and device information, ad interactions, and diagnostic or fraud-prevention information. Unity’s disclosures also describe provider-generated identifiers, usage information and purchase-history information used by its advertising services. See Unity’s player privacy policy.
Google’s User Messaging Platform manages applicable regional advertising choices. See Google’s privacy policy.
On iOS, Apple’s tracking permission is a separate choice. Refusing tracking does not prevent you from playing Smove. Choosing a rewarded advertisement does not replace any required privacy consent.
Age information and children
Smove asks for an age range rather than a full birth date and stores that selection locally.
In the current implementation, optional analytics, crash reporting and advertising are disabled for players who select an age below 18. For players aged 13–17, Google’s consent service may receive an under-age eligibility request without enabling advertising. Players below 13 do not make that request.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support@simplemachine.co so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Support communications
If you contact support@simplemachine.co, we receive your email and any information you choose to provide. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot issues and maintain support records. Please do not send passwords or payment-card information.
Use and disclosure
We use information to operate and improve Smove, remember your choices, diagnose problems, provide permitted advertising, respond to support requests and meet legal obligations.
Information may be processed by service providers supporting those purposes. We may also disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect users or defend legal rights.
Where applicable, we rely on consent for optional analytics, diagnostics and advertising-related processing; legitimate interests for support and service protection; and legal obligations for required processing.
Retention, security and international processing
Local game data remains on your device until removed or replaced. Online information is retained for the purposes described in this policy, subject to applicable legal requirements and provider retention schedules.
Turning off a service stops future collection through the corresponding app control; it does not automatically delete information already collected.
Providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States, under applicable transfer safeguards.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no storage or transmission system is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You can manage optional services through Settings → Privacy, where available, and use your device’s advertising and tracking controls.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of targeted advertising and processing legally considered a sale or sharing. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Send requests to support@simplemachine.co and identify Smove. We may request limited information to verify your request or locate relevant records. Some installation-based records may not be identifiable from your email alone.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Smove or our practices change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice or request consent when required.
For privacy questions or requests, contact support@simplemachine.co.
